Im not sure how old you are, but I'm 19. That means that they have been fighting each other over there for.... about 220 of my lifetimes. It won't stop now, and it won't stop tomorrow. I am a bit knowledgeable about the bible, but not nearly as much as I wish I was - but I do believe that when an end to their fighting comes the rapture will be close behind.

But yes, it is a horrible thing.

What about rockets hitting Israel? Or you forgot about that? What about suicide bombers blowing busses? forgot about that too?
Besides, honestly, what I think is its Palestine's problem for letting Hamas base themselves amongst civilians.

Oh and if we're starting to give video links, watch this:

Err rockets? They only started because the zionists wouldn't let any food, water, etc enter Gaza. So what do you expect them to do? Let the israelis imprison them, starve them to death and do nothing?

Gaza strip has a population of 1.5 mil in an area of 360 km2 and density of 4,118/km2. Where do you expect Hamas to 'base' themselves?

Excuse me but the siege only started after there have been rocket attacks on Israel. Also, humanitarian aid has been imported into Gaza all along, but we cannot control where it all goes once it crosses the border. And no, there is something you can do: not let hamas rule your country, thats all. Theres a video of a palestinian girl on youtube, which blames Hamas for everything, but after she did, they cut the video off. Interesting.

As for the population: Excuse me, but firing AMONGST a neighborhood is unacceptable, and Hamas KNOWS we're going to retaliate, only we the "zionists" use precision airstrikes and not rockets built in our back-yard.

This is war guys and in war everything is possible, there're no rights in war...

For me Hammas is the only responsible for these days actions. I don't tell that I approve killing innocent people and kids, but as I said THIS IS WAR!
Every nation has interests and also duty to take care of their own country, of their own nation.

Tell me honestly, what do you think Israel should do?
-To let Hammas killing their people, to let them blow up buses every single day, do you think that?

I am on noone site, but I look at the things recionally and real...

Best Regards to all

Sick world we live in.
So what was the cause for war this time? You will have to excuse my ignorance, I do not watch or read world news.

Who told you that? Your very trusted media? Hardly a credible source these days.
The video I posted earlier (1st video from the bbc link) has an interview in it with a western doctor who says that there is a huge shortage of blood and medical supplies. He also stated that the hospitals can not survive much longer and are nearing their breaking points, so I dunno about the "imported" "humanitarian aid" you're talking about.

What if Hamas takes over all the humanitarian aid, hides it somewhere only they know, and then screams that we don't give them anything? Sounds possible? Yes it does. I mean if they are already using the civilians as human shields (they said it themselves by the way), why not starve the people too and tell the world its our fault?

As a father to a 1 year old child and as a humanist (at least i consider my self as one) it breaks my heart to see the children of Gaza injured, killed or even just scared by the Israeli attack. I also know, as an Israeli, that for every person dying on either side there are dozens of people who are affected by it - friends, family. every death just creates more anger and more hatred among the people of both sides.
I am also an officer in the israeli reserve army ( i am not in active duty now of course) and i know from personal experience that the IDF is always trying to avoid civilian and innocent casualties. This is done because of the moral reason and because it only hurts the israeli image in the world.
The population in Gaza is very dense and the chances of not hitting civilians is almost zero. This is especially true when Hamas is using civilian institutions as bases for tunnels, storing missiles and explosives and launching rockets into israel. There is always a great argument in Israel concerning the fact the sometimes the IDF is struggling so much to avoid injuring civilians that our own soldiers are hurt as a result.
Hamas was democratically elected in Gaza but it took Gaza by force when it killed its own PLO brothers. Hamas's public goal is the destruction of the state of Israel - not peace or 2 countries living side by side. Only the entire land of Israel will satisfy them.

Nicely explained.

The US has no interest there. Not enough natural resources for them to make a move for.

Makes you think.. We're a small country living right next to a big and angry nation.. What would happen if russia just decided one day to attack europe.. We'd be first in line. Let's just hope for the best, let's just hope the situation in gaza gets solved soon.. Let's just hope WWIII will never come.

Blind hopes. I just hope to die of old age before the war reaches my home, friends and family.

Unlike you my friend, I don't have to think of anything, I just bring facts. Lets hear your take on it.

I'm gonna keep this thread here, as long as it stays on topic. Respect peoples' opinions, everyone is entitled to their own. So far this is a good discussion, let's try and keep it that way.
