Was browsing Blu-ray.com and found this gallery of user submitted images of their home theater system, damn now I feel cheap with just a normal HDTV.

10' wide SMX Scope Screen
The front of the room is blacked out with velvet sheeting from McMaster-Carr, to form a pseudo-proscenium
and help with ANSI contrast.

What tha faccck!?

That's one hell of a system. But I would have preferred a more comfortable couch where I could lie down in. They kept the irritating theatre seats...

Yea but he obviously likes his friends around a lot, 8 seats all leather and all with a cup holder.
I tell you what, if ever I get enough money, damn I so want an extension and something like that.

I was so close to winning the jackpot, put on 2 lines. Got all 6 numbers on the national lottery draw, except 4 was on one line and the other 2 on the other, in the end I ended up winning £36.
If only..

sigh. that is awesome. guy must be loaded, but seems very smart both with the way he took the photos, and the way he explains his stuff / specs / etc.

tough act to follow but here goes:

Samsung LEA656 40" LCD (won some awards)
Denon 7.1 amp. (cheap but decent)
Q-Acoustics 5.1 speakers (decent)
Old XP P4 with ATI x2600 video card, DVI to HDMI cable
Audio goes into a USB Creative 24-bit (white) soundcard with SP/DIF output to Denon amp.
I use MPC to offloading the .mkv video to the GPU
Need to upgrade HTPC to something quieter and more energy efficient
Also, not sure if it is Altbinz (latest paid for version) or the P4, but unencoding takes forever...
