An argument on the set of Terminator Salvation. Explicit language involved.

Quote

After a long hard day, actor Christian Bale lost his temper on the set when the cinematographer walked onto the set during filming late last year. Now, audio of that incident has hit TMZ.com

Well we cannot judge him. I am sure he is working 10-12 hour days. And when someone is distracting you from doing your job more than once, then I would get angry also. The last thing bale or any actor needs is distractions. Yes I will agree he needn't of swore like that but if it wasn't the first time he needed to be put in place.

I understand that, having been in that situation many times before... but, as a professional, he should have handled the situation a little better. But then again, only being informed with that audio clip of his tirade, I can't really judge him.

As Dot said this was in July 2008 and Christian Bale has not left the project. But the audio of the incident has only recently made its way online.

With all the hoopla swirling around Christian Bale's verbal meltdown on the set of T4, it was high time Warner Bros. capitalized on it: Terminator Salvation has gone and changed release dates. Yup, one day to be exact. Instead of opening on Friday, May 22nd, the film has been pushed forward to Thursday, May 21st. Why the date change? A jumpstart on the lucrative Memorial Day Weekend, no doubt. Plus, if you're squaring off against what is predicted to be one of the biggest films of the summer, Night at the Museum 2, you'll want all the extra screenings you can get. Never before have two such high profile sequels opened mano y mano. It will be very interesting to see if Fox's tentpole will one-up WB by changing dates to Wednesday (a common occurance in the summer months). Expect Ben Stiller and Co. to screen at 8pm, 10pm and midnight showings on Thursday regardless.

I don't, it was the first thing interesting to happen in Hollywood in a long time. Gotta love when celebrities lash out.

It was, as far as I know, the most emotional scene in the movie, so he just lost his "groove" and that happened. He also said that if the lightman screws it again, he'll quit the movie unless the lightman gets fired rofl :D

Although Bale's behavior makes us think twice about taking tea with the Brit, let along working with him, Bruce Franklin, an assistant director and associate producer on the fourth Terminator film, tells E! News that Bale, a "consummate professional," just had a bad day.

"If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove...but was the most emotional scene in the movie," said Franklin. "And for him to get stopped in the middle of it. He is very intensely involved in his character. He didn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed."

"This was my second movie with Christian and it has always been a good experience with him," added Franklin, who also worked with the actor on 2000's Shaft. "He is so dedicated to the craft. I think someone is begging to make some noise about this but I don't think it's fair. The art of acting is not paint by numbers, it's an art form. "

Christian Bale's apology.

"It's been a miserable week for me"

"The thing that I really want to stress is I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. I regret that."

As for what brought on the much-played rant, Bale said that the day's shooting was particularly intense and that he "puts so much into what I do and care so much about it and sometimes the enthusiasm just goes awry."

"I'm embarrassed by it. I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely."

"We have resolved this completely...I have no intention of getting anyone fired. There is no problem whatsoever."
