According to current planning, it should be late September or early October,” Chen said regarding the release of Windows 7, reports Bloomberg. Chen also forecast worldwide notebook shipments this year will be little changed from 2008 at 120 million to 125 million units, which some could find optimistic with the recession.

Pretty cool, can't wait till it's out :)

I hope I'll be rich enough to buy a new system and this by then. Would be really neat to own a retail W7...
On the other hand, if it starts messing with my utter piracy, I'll have to make it squeal.

Oh I'm pretty sure the scene can do something about that so we won't have to. ^_^

That BIOS hack won't work anymore on Windows 7 btw. (doesn't work anymore even on Vista Service Pack 2).

Yeah, currently there are about 4 DirectX10 games only (I don't count the ones that use DX10 only for smoke effects, that's retarded), I believe for DX 11 will be 6 or 7.

Um, no...not the script kiddies and even some of the hacking groups wont be able to hack this as it is 128bit DIGITAL encrypted. That means that you would have to have a program on this trying to hack it running 24/7/365 for the next 295 YEARS to crack it. But since the retail ultimate version is only priced at $275. why wait and just buy it legally. If you are a student and need the ultimate version, you get it for $70.

With prices this low..why bother to hack it in the first place?
