I know I posted one topic, but that just happened to be on my mind at the moment. This was my originally intended post.

I have a Linksys router which I absolutely love because it allows me to change my IP within seconds. I believe I have a PPoE connection (I think that's what it's called) so I'm able to update and get new IP's fairly easy. But, I was wondering, for the sake of filehosting sites like Rapidshare, Megaupload, Megashares, Hotfile, etc. if it was possible to automatically change my IP after downloading a file so I can download the others.

Does anyone know of a good method? I was thinking about Macro Recording software, but I didn't know if that would work well enough.

How would you change the IP address of Linksys router with a bat file?

there are a lot of download managers out there which have a recconnect-method already included (e.g. jDownloader, try that one)

otherwise just google your router and search for a bat file, I still dunno how it works though

EASIER: Unplug your router from the energy-cable, recap it,, your done (normally :P)

cheers

Like ALPha said try Jdownloader. That's one of the best (free) options available. Put links in that application , Jdownloader will do it's job. :)

How about this:

If you are using Firefox there is an add-on which allows you to see your router configuration, and if
your router is compatible change the external IP, reboot it, etc...

Here are the compatible linksys routers:

Linksys

BEFSR41, BEFSR81, BEFSX41
External IP, Clients
WRT54G v1-v4
External IP, SSID, Channel, Clients
Reboot
WRT54G v5-v8, WRT54GL, WRT54GS, WRT54GX v1
External IP, SSID, Channel, Clients
WRT150N, WRT300N, WRT350N
External IP, SSID, Channel, Clients
Reboot

Site: Supported routers

The add-on can be downloaded here: Add-On

So, if you're lucky enough to have a compatible router and are using Firefox, this will solve your problem.

Greets,

Stitch
